I'm based in Manchester, but I'll go pretty much anywhere for a wedding. North West, elsewhere in the UK or abroad — if you want me there, let's talk.
-
My approach is relaxed, unobtrusive and documentary-led. Rather than directing every moment, I let your day unfold naturally while quietly capturing everything that's happening around me. The result is a gallery full of genuine smiles, real emotion and all the little moments you might have missed.
I also shoot with two cameras, one with a wider-to-medium lens and one with a medium-to-long lens. This lets me move between capturing the atmosphere and getting closer, more intimate moments without constantly changing lenses or interrupting what's happening.
When it comes to couple portraits, I'll give you just enough guidance to help you feel comfortable, but nothing will ever feel forced or overly posed. I want you to enjoy spending time together, not feel like you're on a Vogue photoshoot.
-
Yes, if you'd like one. The rate for another photographer to accompany me all day would be £400.
A second photographer can be particularly useful for larger weddings, when you're getting ready in different locations, or when you want even more coverage of your guests and the little moments happening throughout the day. That said, I don't think every wedding needs one. For most weddings, I'm perfectly happy working on my own and can capture the day comprehensively without an additional photographer. If a second shooter would genuinely benefit your plans, I'm happy to discuss it with you!
-
Yes! Engagement shoots are a great chance to get some lovely photographs together before the wedding, but they're also a good opportunity to get comfortable in front of my camera and get a feel for how I work.
I'll keep things relaxed and natural, with a bit of direction where you need it. We can wander somewhere you love, grab a coffee, go for a walk — whatever feels like you.
They can be added to any wedding package, so just let me know if you'd like to chat about one.
-
Before you do that, we’ll have a chat.
Over the phone, on a video call or in person — whatever suits you. It’s a chance for me to hear all about you and your plans, and for you to get to know me too. Think of it as a bit of a vibe check: you want to like your photographer, because you're going to be around them a fair amount! As the day gets closer, I'll be in touch to check if anything has changed, talk through timings and make sure I know what family or group photographs you'd like. I'll help keep everything organised without making the planning feel complicated.
On the day, I'll blend in with your guests, be an approachable friendly face, and photograph everything from the big moments to the quiet ones in between. Alongside the candid moments, I also love photographing the details you've spent months planning, from the rings and flowers to the little touches that make your wedding uniquely yours.
Afterwards, I'll carefully edit every image in my signature style: warm, bright and natural colour, with rich crushed blacks, alongside classic, high-contrast black and white. I'll then bring it all together into a gallery that tells the story of your day from beginning to end.
-
No, you don't have to feed me — although it’s always very much appreciated! I’m more than happy to bring a packed lunch with me, so don’t feel you need to make special arrangements. Just let me know what the plan is for food on the day and I’ll come prepared.
-
I don't put a strict limit on the number of photographs you receive. Every wedding is different, so I prefer to let the story of your day determine the final gallery rather than aiming for an arbitrary number.
For a full day, you can generally expect around at least 400–800 carefully edited photographs, covering everything from the big moments to all the little candid moments in between.
I also won't fill your gallery with hundreds of near-identical shots just to make the number look impressive. Every photograph is chosen because it adds something to the story of your day.
-
Not at all — you're definitely not alone! Most of the day I'll be discreetly capturing candid moments as they naturally happen, so you won't feel like you're constantly being photographed or watched.
When it comes to your couple portraits, I'll keep things relaxed and give you gentle direction so you know what to do without feeling overly posed. The aim is to get photographs that look natural, feel like you and, most importantly, that you actually love.
-
Absolutely! I often do when a camera is pointed at me.
Natural and relaxed is my usual approach, but that doesn't mean everything has to be serious. If you want to be silly, playful and have a bit of fun with your photographs, I'm completely up for it. At the end of the day, my objective is to get pictures that feel like you.I'll still make sure you get plenty of natural, candid shots, alongside some more playful photographs that show off your personalities. If you're up for it, I'm up for it.
-
No — I specialise in photography.
I know some photographers offer photography alongside video and social media reels, but I’ve chosen not to. I don’t believe you can give 100% of your attention to two things at exactly the same time.
When I’m photographing your wedding, I want my full attention on the photography — anticipating moments, watching what's happening, finding the best light and making sure I don't miss something important. Trying to simultaneously think about video clips and reels can mean neither gets the attention it deserves.
For me, the best results come from focusing completely on one job at a time. So while I won't be creating your content reels, I will be completely focused on creating the best possible set of photographs from your day.
-
Don't worry if the forecast isn't looking great — we'll have a plan. If needed, we can move things around, make use of the best indoor spaces or wait for a break in the weather for your portraits.
I'll keep an eye on the conditions throughout the day and make decisions as we go, so you don't need to spend your wedding worrying about the weather. I'll adapt to whatever the day brings and make sure we still get a great collection of photographs that tells the story of your wedding.
-
I aim to deliver your full gallery within 4–6 weeks of your wedding. I'll take the time to carefully edit every photograph in my signature style, so your gallery feels cohesive from beginning to end.
If you'd love something to share on social media straight away, just let me know. I'll do my best to send you one or two finished photographs within 48 hours of the wedding, so you don't have to wait weeks for your first sneak peek.
